corporal punishment

To punish by physically harming the offender. Example. In the police station, corporal punishment for the offender is not allowed.

capital punishment

To punish by killing the offender. Example. In most countries, capital punishment is not allowed.

community service

To spend time helping the community. For example, I think, in a small tribe, thisĀ community service still exists for a small crime instead of sentencing him to any punishment.

consequences

The result or effect of something. Example. Consequences are varying from nation to nation of the same crime.

deterrent

A thing that discourages doing. Example Holy preaches can only be a deterrent way to stop crimes in the society

evidence

Proof that the crime occurred. Example. Police require evidence to prove the crime in court.

fine

Money paid for a crime. Example. The court never requests to pay a fine to the accused or guilty person.

imprisonment

To put someone in prison. Example. It is necessary to sentence imprisonment for a lifetime for any crime to decrease the crime rate.

legislation

Laws that are made by the government. Example. New legislation for the juveniles must be legislated now as the juveniles crime rate is increasing every year by leaps and bounds.

felony

A major crime. Example. I think the person who is charged with felony assault and making criminal threats, must be sentenced to imprisonment for 50 years.

misdemeanor

A minor crime. Example. If the juvenile has committed any misdemeanor, he should not be sentenced to jail.

motive

Reason for doing something. Example. The motive behind the crime is convicted as serious sexual rapes repeatedly or drug charges. He must be punished without any mercy plea

prevention

Stopping something from happening. Example. Prevention of crime can only be possible if the society members, leaders, and legislative judges sit together.

victim

The person who suffers from a crime or negative event. Example. Many victims do not know the laws of the land while traveling in another country.

violation

To break a rule. Example. Violation of law by any individual whether he or she is a personality must face the trial.

Brutal

Offenders commit brutal behavior with the victim. They must not be freed away early, otherwise, the society people may face the worst condition later.
